Week 1 Introduction

Hello,
My name is Debi Taylor.  I work for Muscle Shoals City Schools.  My degree was in elementary education but I taught Title I reading for several years in  grades K - 4.  I LOVED kindergarten,  so I went back to school to get early childhood certification.  I taught kindergarten for five years, pre-first for one year, and I have been the kindergarten reading coach for eight years.  This year we have 240 kindergartners.
We have been very busy preparing for the new school year!

This is my wonderful husband, Ron.  He retired from the Marine Corps with 24 years of service.  After he retired, he went back to school and got his degree in education.  He taught Industrial Maintenance at Calhoun Community College for 15 years and retired a second time.  A year ago, we found out that he had cancer.  After surgery and several months of chemotherapy, he is now cancer free!  We serve an awesome God!

This is our son, Ronny.  He works for the television
station at Troy University in Montgomery.

He is married to Ashley.  She teaches
at a  private school in Millbrook.

And, we have four amazing grandsons!

Zach is 18.  He will be going into the army in January.

Jake is 14 and is in constant motion!

Ashton is eight.  He is our sweet cub scout.

And, last but not least is Benji.  He is our beautiful,
smart, funny, and exhausting two year old!

We also have four dogs, a cat, and a grand-dog.
